Apparently (tm) they are trying to force in person. Stay tuned here for cliff notes.
Be Patient.
Looking at the program, elders, fellow witnesses, world, armageddon, all seem to be slow coming so smile and wait. There! I saved you 3 days.

And the lion shall eat straw like the ox
by Anony Mous inthe above verse is often quoted by jws both in general as a response to the idea of a deathless paradise and/or those promoting vegetarianism or veganism.. a letter in animal frontiers co-signed by nearly a thousand scientists is now warning that meat is crucial for a healthy lifestyle and livestock farming is too important to 'become the victim of zealotry'.. they stated the fact that most humans require the nutrients from eggs, meat and dairy and that plant based alternatives are at least 4x more expensive (which implies much higher energy consumption in the process) and not scalable and outright dangerous to global health to support a large population shift towards them.. they also called out several recent papers for misleading information and even called for the outright retraction of one that said meat substitutions are a viable alternative.. not sure what the modern jw view on this is, i know many people in the borg promoted it back in the day.
just goes to show that science does not support the notion of a global vegan diet..

What vegans overlook is animals, particularly ruminants, convert rough plant matter into protein humans can digest. Rough forage can be grown on land unsuitable for most crops.
Also overlooked is fertilizer is largely a petroleum-based product.

To All Those Keen To Tell Us About Their Beliefs
by Simon inwe seem to have had an influx of religiots - the people who want to tell us all about how we / the wts / whoever are wrong, wrong, wrong about everything and how right they are.
they obviously have special insight, or voices (probably voices, right?
) telling them the real truth.. as proof, there is inevitably a wall of random scripture references and quotes.. sorry, but we're not here for that.

Curtailing zoom
by road to nowhere inco visit, so right from the horse's mouth ( or somewhere).
too many are staying on zoom, missing face to face encouragement.
look for the elders to implement changes.. also people at the door are so receptive and glad to see us.

They still have the passwords. One sunday, one midweek, different zooms for each meeting, specials for funerals, letterwriting, service groups; along with private accounts some use. I think zoom requires a freshening at times. The password is shared, with warnings to be discreet that a troublemaker doesnt get in.
Out of maybe 25 zoomees, 3 or 4 will have camera on. Over half sign off the minute meeting is over with no visiting.

JWs Still Attending on Zoom
by XBEHERE inanother topic based on a conversation with a friend living near warwick (i talked to him over the weekend).
he said that cong's in and around bethel, including his, are slowly starting to see an uptick with people attending in person his cong is pretty much 75%+ in person.
however there are many that still use zoom as a fall back.

Revelation book
by Gorb indo you remember the jw.org book of revelation and how many times we had to study it?
in retrospect, all those hours turned out to be for nothing, the explanation of the prophecies is now completely outdated..

Most confusing book ever. Bsbylon the great was better. And old freddy at least made plausible if flawed connections.

CO visit, so right from the horse's mouth ( or somewhere). Too many are staying on zoom, missing face to face encouragement. Look for the elders to implement changes.
Also people at the door are so receptive and glad to see us. (???) Letter writing will be done from the hall if needed.
This means elders will be judging ability, fitness, mental health. There was no mention of the 2nd grade level slogging meetings, poor infrastructure ( seats in particular), travel costs and time.
At least the convention is in town if we can go. Some of us need the family facilities which are inevitably being monopolized by elders kids.

"Apostasy"
by Zilgee inthe so called apostates of first century later became the catholic church.
these apostates like saint athanasius, theologian, ecclesiastical statesman, and egyptian national leader decided which books would be part of the bible.
we are now following what they decided.

Didn't you hear? Jehovah caused the bible to be canonized.
Actually there was a big , mostly american, adventist movement that used protestant ( king james) scripture.

Court Cases Costs?
by LostintheFog1999 inwatch tower is in court all the time.
it wins some.
it loses others.. we know it costs £££££ to go to court, pay barristers, expert witnesses, etc.. with wtc going to court for so many diverse reasons these days, from challenging laws to defending wt practices and paying out to csa victims, how much do you think wtc is spending annually on court cases?.

They will never tell and finances are kept very secret, even locally. But it is enough to cause them to beg and sell off halls
